As a leading commercial ship designer and shipbuilder in the U.S., NASSCO has been responsible for the design and construction of 58 commercial ships since 1961. NASSCO-built ships have included a variety of propulsion plants including steam turbine, gas turbine, geared diesel, diesel-electric, and slow-speed diesel.
