Navy Vessel Access
Southwest Regional Maintenance Center Security (SWRMC) processes and approves all visit requests for civilian contractors and government agencies that require access to U.S. Navy vessels. Each subcontracted organization or individual requiring access aboard U.S. Navy vessels must submit to NASSCO’s Security Administration Office the Contractor Visit Request form provided by SWRMC. The submission must be received prior to the start of the contracted work.
Procedure:
- Complete SWRMC’s Contractor Visit Request form (http:\\swrmc.ahf.nmci.navy.mil\documents\contractvisitreq.xls)
and e-mail it to the NASSCO Security Administration Office at the following address:
securityadmin@nassco.com
- NASSCO Security Administration will attach a NASSCO cover letter identifying
the organization or individual as a NASSCO subcontractor and forward it to SWRMC.
- NASSCO Security Administration receives an approval/disapproval of a request typically within five (5) working days after SWRMC Security processes it. The subcontractor will be responsible to verify the status of the request with NASSCO Security Administration.
