Awards and Recognition
NASSCO believes awards programs provide important recognition for the success of individuals, teams and the company in achieving environmental compliance.
The company sought and received ISO 14001 certification for its comprehensive Environmental Management System, the first commercial shipyard in the United States to qualify for this internationally recognized designation.
In 2002, NASSCO created the "Environmental Star" Awards Program to honor employees, customers and suppliers for their positive support of the company's environmental policies and procedures.
